Clive Business Community Experiences Solid Progress in 2010
Clive continues to build a solid business identity in the metro area with several development and enhancement projects throughout the community. The Clive Chamber of Commerce, City of Clive and local business community are proud to highlight a few of these exciting new additions.
The Mercy wellness campus, a 24-acre six building complex is dedicated to promoting and improving the health and wellness of the Clive community through a coordinated, prevention-based approach to services and programs. The entire campus is LEED certified as environmentally efficient and sustainable.
A central corridor for transportation and business in Clive, the NW 86th Street Redevelopment Project is in the second of three major phases. The area is receiving a number of improvements including fresh streetscaping, a pocket park, public works of art and updated infrastructure to improve traffic flow.
Clive will celebrate the opening of Shuler Elementary, a brand new public school within the Waukee school district this fall. Clive’s two other public schools, Crestview Elementary and Indian Hills Junior High, also completed major remodeling projects in 2010.
The Clive Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in supporting this progress. New educational, leadership and marketing opportunities allows the Chamber to actively fulfill our mission (“to encourage the economic growth of our members through advocacy and promotion”) and secure a strong foundation for the future growth of both our organization and the local economy.
Visit Clive’s wide array of shopping, dining, or recreational options and see what makes us “Distinct by Nature”!
